A pictorial record of the development of our lawn and club house. The first club house was destroyed in hurricane force winds on 17th Jan 2018. The Insurers paid out and an improved design was installed.
Levelling September 2019
In September 2019 the lawn was laser levelled and the fairy rings removed. These measured 106 metres in length and 85 tonnes of material was removed. The west boundary was some 17" higher than the East boundary and over 150 tonnes of soil was moved from the high areas to the low areas. After levelling 40 tonnes of top soil was added across the lawn and it was seeded using Barenbrug Medal which is predominantly dwarf rye grass. The seed was covered in 9mm of green waste compost despite huge amounts of rain over the ensuing weeks, a good germination was achieved.
Grass killed, fairy rings marked and median level line marked in white. Work proceeds, removing turf from High areas.
